Lovely Surprise!

On Tuesday (16th April), Roy, Colin, and Shaun from our Ableworld Runcorn store were surprised by a lovely gesture from a customer, Mrs Woodfine, for helping her with her scooter issues.

 

The Runcorn team greatly appreciated this gesture of appreciation for the hard work they do every day in-store, providing good support, and recommending the best products for each customer's needs.

 At our Ableworld Runcorn store, our team have gone all out to make the store look bright and cheerful for our new Spring Promotion.

Ableworld Runcorn Attend Warrington Disability Awareness Day 2023

Ableworld Runcorn were delighted to have attended the Warrington Disability Awareness Day for the second year in row on Sunday 16th July 2023. The Disability Awareness Day or better known as DAD is a fabulous day of celebrating every individual no matter their abilities, it specifically highlights what disabled people can do rather than what they can’t. The annual event is the world’s largest ‘none profit’ voluntary-led disability day, and certainly is a much-anticipated date to mark in Ableworld Runcorn’s calendar every year.

Although the weather conditions this year were vastly different to last year’s 30-degree heatwave, our Runcorn team Assistant store Manager Colin and Engineer Martin most definitely prevailed, and had an amazing day engaging with the attendees and providing advice and support to those who needed it. Within our tent we showcased an array of mobility products on offer within Runcorn store from Wheelchairs to Mobility Scooters to Walkers.

Helping The Runcorn Community Live More Active Lives

Store Manager Roy from Ableworld Runcorn was recently invited to attend a group meeting with Eat@TheHeath Club at Heath Business Park. The club is made up of a diverse group of people who come together every week to discuss varying topics and spend some quality time with others. This week’s discussion was around mobility and the resources that are available in the local community, Roy had the pleasure of offering his knowledge and expertise on how to enjoy greater independence and help people live more comfortable and active lives.

The afternoon was filled with insightful advice and offerings (and even a few freebies) for all members. Eileen, Community Manager said ‘’Roy, your passion shone through whilst you were speaking to the group and then when many came to speak with you after. It was good to see the group making full use of the demonstration equipment you brought along. It’s a huge step for some to admit they need help but I think after this talk, they wouldn’t think twice about calling down to see with yourself or Colin in store.’’

Roy and Colin at Runcorn store look forward to welcoming some of you to store soon and are excited for the chance at working together some more in the future.
